Get Answers About Your Home’s Water Quality
Clear Water offers water testing that provides you with detailed information about your home’s water quality
Before you invest in water treatment equipment, you need to know what problems you’re dealing with. Clear Water Filtration, Pump, & Well Service provides professional water testing for homeowners throughout Greater Boston, the South Shore, MetroWest, and surrounding communities.
Since 2011, our team has helped Massachusetts and Rhode Island homeowners diagnose water quality concerns and find practical solutions for their homes. Whether you’re on a private well or municipal water, water testing is an essential step to understanding what’s in your water and choosing the right treatment solution for your home.
Basic In-Home Water Test
For common water quality concerns, an in-home test provides a fast and convenient place to start. We can check important contaminant levels, giving you immediate insight into conditions that may be contributing to your water quality problems.
Our basic water testing checks key parameters including:
- Total hardness
- pH
- Chlorine
- Iron
- Total dissolved solids (TDS)
This initial screening can often tell us whether a straightforward water treatment solution may be appropriate or whether your water would benefit from more in-depth laboratory analysis.
Get a More Complete Picture With Independent Lab Testing
When you want more transparent and comprehensive information, Clear Water offers water testing through an independent laboratory. Our standard lab tests check for many of the most common contaminants and water quality concerns, providing detailed results that can reveal issues an in-home screening can’t.
A standard lab analysis can identify concerns including:
- pH
- Calcium & Magnesium
- Total Coliform & E. coli
- Chlorine & Chloride
- Iron & Manganese
- Arsenic
- Lead
- Nitrates
- Sulfate
- Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
- And more
We also offer additional lab-based water tests that identify other contaminants, including PFAS. No matter which water quality test you schedule, your results are yours to keep, and we help you understand what they mean so you can make informed choices about water treatment.
Recommended Yearly Testing for Private Wells
If your home relies on a private well, regular testing is important since groundwater conditions regularly change over time. Both the EPA and MassDEP recommend testing at least once a year to help catch water quality problems before they affect your health or home.
You should also consider testing after flooding, well or pump repairs, or any noticeable change in your water. This allows you to take quick action if a water contaminant is discovered.
Choose the Right Water Treatment Solution
Water testing gives us the information we need to recommend treatment based on your actual water quality. If the results identify a problem, we can determine how much of your home needs treatment and which system will work best for your issue.
Depending on your water quality and goals, that may include whole-house water filtration for filtered water at every tap, a water softener for hard water problems, reverse osmosis or under-sink filtration for high-quality drinking water, or a UV water purification system to help eliminate bacteria and other microorganisms.
Because we handle both water testing and treatment, you can get answers and solutions to your water quality challenges from one company.

We can't say enough good things about Clearwater Pump & Well Service. They truly went above and beyond to help us resolve a very frustrating issue with our irrigation pump and drive. After another company installed the wrong drive, Clearwater stepped in and worked tirelessly to find a solution. Before determining that the drive needed to be replaced, they spent hours at our home and on the phone with the drive manufacturer's customer support and technical team, doing everything possible to get the existing drive working. Their dedication, persistence, and commitment to helping us were exceptional. A huge thank you to Paul and his outstanding team—Mike, service technician Dimo, and electrician Jon. Everyone was knowledgeable, professional, patient, and genuinely cared about getting the job done right. We highly recommend Clearwater Pump & Well Service to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and experienced professionals. If you want a company that stands behind its work and goes the extra mile for its customers, Clearwater is the one to call.Posted on Google marilyn slatteryTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I called a few companies before Clear Water as I had used them in the past. No response. Clear Water response was prompt and courteous as I was not a current customer Demo came at the appointed time and was very efficient. What we hoped to be an easy fix turned into a multiple hour job and even though he had to call in reinforcements he was a pleasure to work with. His day had to be extended because of my issue but he remained polite and committed to my needs. The men who worked on my well were terrific. The office personnel was professional and accommodating and the entire experience was positive. I highly recommend Clear Water and although I hope not to have to use them again, I wouldn’t hesitate if an issue arose.Posted on Google Jeff KalowskiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My well pump died in the early evening and when I put a call into them they got back to me right away and tried to trouble-shoot the problem with me and finally determined that the well pump had failed. They were at my house the next morning at 8am and replaced the pump right away. Their communication was outstanding with both the office staff and the technicians. These guys were terrific and I would highly recommend them. One of the best customer experiences I've ever had.Posted on Google Adam GuilmetteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing customer service! Yes. Water testing can provide valuable information about the condition of a home’s water supply before you purchase the property. This is especially true for properties with private wells. The results may uncover water quality concerns that should be addressed or considered as part of the home-buying process.
